In 1972, Vincent Moretti is sent to prison for fraud and murder, where he meets Leo Caruso, serving time for armed robbery. After a thug sent by crime boss Harvey attempts to kill Leo, Vincent intervenes, and the two form an uneasy alliance to escape. Vincent reveals Harvey murdered his brother and framed him; Leo reveals Harvey betrayed him after they stole the Black Orlov diamond together.
